Indeed, nice answer from one of my fave authors. :)

I have to agree with Philip Yancey's (and your views) about disappointment and about God.

I have been disappointed many times in life but I find it amazing to know that our God, who is GOD over all circumstances, is able to turn our disappontments into triumphs.

For me, when I get disappointed, it draws me to God's unlimited favor over my life and responds in worship because of what HE did,not with what I did. :)

Thanks for sharing!

Hi! I agree with Yancey about having different emotions ( disappointments, sadness, anger) but at the same time having complete faith in God. I believe that is true because emotions are very deceiving, easily influenced and out of our control. Though that is not to say all of our emotions are wrong (like in the case of Anjie). Faith and trust however is a decision and therefore can be willed.

I don't think though that we can always trust our hearts. We should always will our hearts to listen and follow God's words but we cannot trust it.

I hope I don't sound philosophical and I am sorry if I sound like one. Hope someone can correct me if I am wrong.
